A maker is someone who has a passion for creating something where formerly there was nothing. Making and being creative may be their full time job, a part-time hustle, or a hobby that brings them joy. Makers are woodworkers, metalworkers, artists, ceramicists, designers, carpenters, and so much more. Every week I will bring you two interviews of female and nonbinary makers of all kinds from all over the world. Jennifer is a Mom of two, flag maker, and better known as Miss Dewalt. Jennifer makes beautiful flags for police officers, fire fighters, people in the armed forces or anyone who enjoys flags really. She had to learn how to be handy after the death of her husband 11 years ago and she hasn't looked back once. Besides flags, Jennifer also has a passion for upcycling and turning others' trash into treasure.
